Knowing the entry fees and timings of opening and closing of all the monuments of Agra is very important. One can plan the trip to Agra according to the time of opening and closing to get the maximum benefit of the trip. Given below is the table showing timings and the fees seperately for the Indian and the foreign tourists. You can always carry this guide along with you when you travel to visit the monuments. It also gives information about the A.S.I (Archeological Survey of India) and the A.D.A (Agra Development Authority) charges for visiting the monument.

Visiting hours of the monuments:
Generally, the timings for visiting all the monuments is from sunrise to sunset since the winter season has late opening and early closing of all the monuments. Given below is the information about the visiting hours of Taj Mahal and other monument of Agra.

Taj Mahal – 6.00 A.M. to 7.00 P.M (Generally, it is sunrise to sunset in winter season)

• Taj Mahal is closed on Friday (Earlier it used to be closed on Monday)

All the other monuments – Sunrise to Sunset

Other monuments are open all the days.

Free Entry Fee of the monuments: A frequently asked question is about the free entry to the Taj Mahal. Given below is the answer to the question about the free entry to the Taj Mahal and other entry fees on Fridays.

• There is free entry (no entry fee) for children (both Indian and Foreigners) below the age of 15 years in all the monuments

• On Friday A.D.A. does not levy any Toll tax in any monument (Only A.S.I. charges are applied)

• Taj Mahal entry is free for all the 3 days of the festival of Shah Jahan's Death Anniversary. The dates for the 3 days are decided yearly.

Note for Foreign Tourist

Foreign visitors who purchase A.D.A. (Agra Development Authority) Pathkar (Toll Tax) ticket of 500/- at any one of the monuments of Agra need not purchase any other Pathkar (Toll Tax) ticket at any other monuments of Agra. This means that there is only one Toll Tax ticket for visiting all the monuments of Agra i.e. Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Sikandra, Itmad-ud-Daulah and Fatehpur Sikri.

• The Toll Tax ticket is valid for visiting all the monuments of Agra on the same day.

• The A.S.I (Archeological Survey of India) has no consolidated entry ticket hence the tourists have to purchase the tickets by A.S.I
