Shah Jahan acquired power by defeating his father in a battle. But latter he was
also imprissoned by his son aurangzeb until he died, He built a mausoleum more
beautiful than any others. However,Shah Jahan, soely dedicated Tah mahal to his
wife not to his kinship, or to the family members.

It was built in memory of Mumtaz Mahal. Her wish was to have a mausoleum more
beautiful than any the world has seen. Built by Shah Jahan after his wife's
death I believe she got her wish.
