 Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world is the monument built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in Agra. This monument of love was built by husband for his wife and is of great importance due to that.
The construction of the Taj Mahal had started in the year 1631 A.D. and was completed in 1653 A.D. It is said that it took 22 years to complete this wonder of the world. The main building was completely build in the year 1643 A.D after which the remaining part was taken over. It is more than 350 years old monument made of pure marble.
The monument is famous worldwide due to its beauty, story, architecture, art, environment, symmetry, structure, red sand stone and white marble inlay work. It looks beautiful since it has been made up of purest form of the Makrana marble with various precious stones and gems embedded in it.
